An overview of phishing is provided in this module, detailing its history and impact on organizations. Case studies illustrating the consequences of successful phishing attacks are presented to underscore the importance of vigilance. It has been observed that organizations lacking awareness of phishing tactics are more susceptible to such attacks (FBI IC3, 2023).
